Biography

SILVINA MIZRAHI was born in Argentina and is a citizen of both that country and Israel, although she now makes her home in Boston. She graduated with a Fine Arts degree from the University of Tucuman, Argentina, where she went on to study sculpture with two of the country’s outstanding masters in the art form. Mizrahi also studied dance with, among others, the Martha Graham School and is an accomplished dancer and choreographer. This interest is clearly evident in her lovely figurative sculptures, executed in bronze employing the lost wax method. Her attenuated figures literally dance and float on their pedestals. The sculptor has been exhibited and widely acclaimed in her native Argentina, in Uruguay, in Israel and, now, here in the United States.
